    Description
    Cambridge Glass candy jar,  standing approximately 8” tall with the lid in place.  The shape dates to the 1920’s, and holds about 1/2 lb of candy.  This candy jar is illustrated on page 47 of “Colors in Cambridge Glass”, by the National Cambridge Collectors, Inc.  Collector Books, 1984.  It is unmarked.
    The color is a transparent medium blue, which is called “Cobalt Blue 2” in that book.  It was introduced in 1925.   Another shade of blue, “Cobalt Blue 1”, was slightly earlier, and is very similar.  My photos are taken indoors, but next to a window to allow as natural a lighting as possible without glare.  To me, the jar color matches the one in my book, but opinions about color can vary, so please use the photos to decide for yourself.
