    Description

    We are offering this beautiful footed/pedestal cake stand  in the Virginian pattern manufactured by the Cambridge Glass Company .
    Very heavy with Diamond Optic Design # 3144. Made in USA from 1938-45, not many made. This is the tallest version of this pedestal cake plate featuring 2" patterned apron/skirt & also has a rum well. This piece was originally advertised as a multipurpose utility tray/server as it can be turned upside down to be used to serve cookies, crackers, sandwiches, chips or fruit around its lipped bottom. The center can be used as a vase or can hold dips or sauces. This hard-to-find piece measures 11" wide and stands 7" tall. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, or scratches.
    Sawtooth edge near bottom has 2 very minor shallow flakes. That does not effect use or display quality. Just a lovely piece of rare Cambridge Glass that you are sure to want to add to your  Glassware Collection.
