  • Condition: Cambridge Glass #95 covered compote. c1920s. Sets almost flat, no chips or cracks seen. One 'ping' on lid edge, (picture 5) no chip just a little rainbow effect resulting in the 'ping'! Some light surface scuffs when held to the light. Nifty original factory mold creases, inclusions in glass. The lid diameter fits perfectly to the jar diameter - but the flange on bottom lid is slightly smaller than opening diameter of jar (manufacturing flaw?)- lid tends to easily move around on jar. Uranium glass - does fluoresce with UV light.

    Cambridge Glass #95 1 Lb Plainware Tall Covered Candy Jar Green
    Sets almost flat, no chips or cracks seen.
    One 'ping' on lid edge, (picture 5) no chip just a little rainbow effect resulting in the 'ping'. Few light surface scuffs when held to the light.
    Nifty original factory mold creases, inclusions in glass & rough base perimeter.
    While the lid diameter fits perfectly to the jar diameter - the flange on the bottom the lid is slightly smaller than opening diameter of jar (manufacturing flaw?) -
    lid tends to easily move around when set on jar.
