Book: Rock Crystal Engravings

Description

This auction is for one copy of the softbound book entitled "Rock Crystal Engravings" produced by the National Cambridge Collectors and authored by NCC Archivist Mark Nye. The book covers only those cuttings and engravings which appeared in Cambridge Glass Company catalogs and price lists. No attempt was made to obtain information on cuttings seen on Cambridge blanks but do not appear in Cambridge documents.
There is a lot of additional information describing the cutting and engraving processes. The book contains many pages of drawings of the actual engravings, plus pictures of Cambridge "Rock Crystal" stemware and decanters, as well as an index and a couple of appendices. There are over 120 pages. There is NO price guide, as the book covers cuttings & engravings in general and not specific glass items.
Proceeds from the sale of the book support the National Cambridge Collectors.

The National Cambridge Collectors, Inc. is a non-profit Ohio corporation which was founded in 1973 to establish and maintain a permanent museum in Cambridge, Ohio for the display, study and preservation of Cambridge Glass. The museum is pictured at right, and is open April through October on Wednesday through Sunday.
Part of the mission includes accumulating and publishing information related to the Cambridge Glass Company.
